"Poker Supplies Guide: What You Need To Run A Poker Game"

Visit Spinettis Gaming for ALL your poker supply needs.

Poker supplies are key to all poker games. Playing poker without the BASICS, is impossible.

But what supplies do you need?

We’ll discuss basic supplies that are essential to any poker game. The supplies you get can be based on these factors.

· Amount of players

· Cash game or tournament

· Budget

· Personal preference

Cash poker game. 4-10 players.

The cards need to be of quality. Any deck made of a material OTHER than cardboard (plastic poker cards), will last a long time. Kem and copaq are high quality plastic cards costing $2-$25 USD. Cards from actual Vegas casinos are $0.50-$10.

If your wallet allows, get some custom cards! Prices depend on the amount of customization and how many decks you want.

Recommendation: cards from casinos are very cool. What’s better than playing with a deck of cards from the MGM? Plus you can get the deck for $1 USD.

Chips are one of the poker supplies, where the bottom line is your preference. Budget is second. The amount of chips you need is third. Think about it like this: you’ll have these chips for a LONG time. You’ll want quality chips.

Custom poker chips are one way to go.

Customization can be done by you or the manufacturer. Customization kits come with 700 custom stickers, which will customize 350 chips front and back. These kits cost $30 USD.

If you’re unsure about the chips, buy a sample pack. Test them out. Do you like the way they look? Feel? Stack? Sound? If the answer is no, keep searching. Find one that you like.

Ceramic poker chips cost as little as $0.04 each. Clay chips can be found for $0.17 each. Prices go up to as much as $1.50 a chip.

You’ll need around 600 individual chips with a couple different denominations.

Cash games require about 50 chips per player.

Recommendation: Find blank clay chips and customize them yourself. It’ll cost about $160 USD for 600 chips customized by you. Compared to about $450 USD for the same amount customized by the manufacturer, I’d rather do it myself!

Paulson Poker Chips

We sell the exact same chips used in casinos for your home poker game. We specialize in Paulson, Chipco, TR King, and ASM Poker Chips.

Poker tables are a big poker supplies purchase. Big not only in size, but sometimes in price.

For a home game, get the size that fits...

· Your wallet

· The game

· Your living room (or the space you’ve selected)

A custom poker table ranges from a $25 USD poker tabletop to a $3000 USD with card cam’s.

Recommendation: If you have a table big enough to fit a full size poker tabletop, get it. They cost $25-$35 USD and work terrific. The next best is a folding poker table. They are simple to store and cost about $150 USD.

Home poker tournaments. 4-10 players.

Cards to use: any made of quality material. Go custom if you can.

The amount of Chips used in a tournament is a lot less than a cash game. For a 10-player tournament, you’ll need about 200 chips. Get chips of AT LEAST four various values. Each player should get 20-25 chips.

Recommendation: custom clay, all the way. Since a tournament requires fewer chips than a cash game, you can spend the same amount, but get higher quality and more custom.

The table that fits you, will do. You can even build your own custom poker table. Be warned: it’s a work of love!

Side note- the amount of chips in home games is based on a maximum of 10 players. Keeping your home game at a max of 10 players is ideal. More players = spending more money and needing more space. Plus how often will your home game happen? If not often, you might buy poker supplies as cheap as possible. It comes down to your preference though.

Miscellaneous poker supplies are used in both home cash and tournament games.

These items include...

· Dealer button

· Cut cards

· Missed blind buttons (used in cash game only)

These can be bought in one package for around $5 USD or cheaper.

Recommendation: get at least a dealer button and cut cards. For tournaments you can get dealer button timers. Just make sure players don’t push the buttons as it’s passed around the table!

Have trouble shuffling? A card shuffler can help it will also make your poker game faster!

Poker card protectors save you money in any poker game.

What poker game is whole without poker chairs? Playing poker while standing is no fun. Not to mention your home poker game will break before it begins.

BUT poker chairs at the cheap end still cost $50 USD! Prices skyrocket from there. All the way to $500 USD for one chair!!!

Even at the cheap end, 10 chairs will cost $500 USD.

Recommendation: find chairs comfortable enough to be stationed in for up to 4 hours. Acquire the cheapest comfortable chairs you can.

Get poker supplies that fit your needs and wants. Quality, value and preference are standards to stick to. Use these standards and you’ll feel pride when looking at your poker supplies.
