"Is A Poker Dealer School Worth Your Money And Time?"

Poker dealer schools offer a fairly quick and easy way to learn the art of dealing poker.

What exactly do they offer?

Are they worth your money and time?

MOST IMPORTANTLY, will you get a job after you graduate?

We’ll go over answers to these questions plus more!

The best poker dealer school will provide you with every bit of knowledge you need to deal poker.

The school should prepare you for any situation.

A good school teaches three or more major poker games...

· Texas hold-em

· Omaha (high/low)

· 7 card stud

The various forms and structures to each game should also be taught. They will also give you a "real feel" poker room environment. Poker tables, cards and decks are standard at a poker dealer school.

Schools will not only have you deal each game, but also play. When you play and deal poker, you’ll learn the games much faster.

The price depends on the poker school.

Schools charge between $700 and $1000 USD. Price includes: any required books, unlimited use of facilities, actual courses and a diploma.

Amount of time poker dealer courses last, depends on how fast YOU absorb information.

Classes last from 80 hours to 300 hours, this depends on the school.

They’ll make sure you excel at dealing each game they teach, BEFORE they pass you. The quicker you learn, the faster you’ll pass.

Poker schools can’t guarantee you a poker-dealer job. They only guarantee that when you leave their school you’ll be an efficient poker dealer.

Most schools have a job placement program. This usually sets you up with an audition, STILL not a guaranteed job.

Soooo...

Is a school worth your time and money?

Most poker rooms like to see some REAL LIFE poker dealing experience too.

The bottom line is do YOU think it’s worth it?

Keep in mind that some poker rooms require two years minimum poker dealer experience. If you show them a poker diploma they might not even consider you for the job.

The exception is if you’re referred to the poker room directly by the school you learned how to deal poker at. This gives your “skills” some credibility.

Where are the best dealer schools?

The “poker capital of the world”, Las Vegas Nevada! There are more dealer schools in Las Vegas than any other city in the world. The Vegas schools have years of experience and provide you with the best teachers possible.

California is another poker dealer school Mecca. Schools there are less concentrated than Vegas, but still give you some great teachers.

European poker dealer schools are less numerous than in the states. They are still high quality schools with comprehensive classes.

Decide for yourself, and make the best choice for YOU!

Good luck!
