Here are your questions answeredThis poker questions answered comes from Glen Garcia in the U.S.A Q: Question... If a dealer flips the river card before the last player acted, yet 2 other players have already bet and called what is done with the flipped card??? Does it stand or get re-shuffled A: Thanks for the question Glen! In this situation there is TOO MUCH action for the card to come back. So the card would stay. As for the player who didn't act yet their hand is dead. That player may be able to get his bet(s) back that were put in on the turn if any.
This poker questions answered is from Berenice Fraser in Australia Q: I've looked everywhere for an answer to this question: What do dealers say when they deal the community cards? I play a lot of free poker (i.e. amateur with some brand new players) lets say the hand is up to the flop. The dealer burns a card and places the 3 cards face up. If the flop is say Q Diamonds, J Hearts, 7 spades. What would the dealer say? I've seen some dealers say the hand including the suits, I've heard arguments between players that say you don't say the suits but you can say the cards (which I think is pointless) and I've heard that you can say the suits as long as you don’t point out a possible hand (like if there were 2 suited and you say "possible flush draw" or something like that. Me personally, I don't see any reason why you couldn't announce the hand. I've read that dealers are basically commentators. If any reference or feedback could be advised, that would be great! Thanks again. A: Thanks for the question Berenice! (I hope I spelled your name correct!) The short answer is the dealer shouldn't say anything about what cards are on the flop, turn or river. Not even the suits. The reasoning is the dealer could help a player make a better choice as to how to play their cards and that changes the action which should never be done. However some people really can’t see the cards and if they ask what they are it's acceptable to tell them. Just like when a player makes a bet in a tournament. The dealer SHOULD announce that a bet has been made, but not how much the bet is until a player asks how much it is. Every poker room has their own rules and while announcing every card that comes on the board may be fine in one room it may be frowned upon in another. What poker site do you enjoy playing on? Do you play much live poker where you live? Thanks again for the question!
This poker questions answered comes from Breanna Bateman in the U.S.A. Q: Thank you for this website it truly gave me a good detailed and easy to understand info. I’ve been doing research about dealing and your site was amongst the best! What poker dealer school do you highly recommend for the SouthernCalifornia/Los Angeles area? A: Thank you for the compliments Breanna! It's nice to hear this site provided some great information for you. I can't highly recommend any poker dealer school. BUT if I HAD to recommend one for your area I would say Casino College of Los Angles. They have a few schools scattered around California and other states in the U.S. Plus they seem like they'll work around your schedule so you don't have to quit your regular job just to go to poker school. The poker course costs $1100. It sounds like you're pretty interested in becoming a poker dealer. It's a fun ride and you'll learn something everyday!
