"Omaha High Low: Boost Your Confidence"

Omaha high low is a split pot community card game.

2-8 people play at one table and attempt to make the best high hand, low hand or both! Each player has four hole cards.

The catch is you can only use two of your four to make the best five card hand. For a hand to qualify as “low” there must be three community cards with a value of eight or lower and two in your hand, that don’t pair the low cards on the board.

This board: Qc-2h-3s-Ks-8c combined with this hand: Ac-5s-Kc-Jc makes a high hand of Ks-Kc-Ac-Qc-Jc and a low hand of 8c-5s-3s-2h-Ac.

If one of your low cards pairs one on the board, your hand is counterfeit, and you have no low hand.

Pots are evenly divided between the best high hand and best low hand. If there are multiple highs or lows the pot is first divided in half, then divided again depending on how many of the same hands are out.

Example: let’s say the pot is 100 and there is one high hand and two low hands. The pot is divided in half. 50 goes to the high hand. The remaining 50 is divided in half AGAIN, with one low hand getting 25 and the other low hand 25.

Pots can get divided amongst as many as eight players! That’s a seldom event though.
