"Lowball Poker Game Play: Raise Your Confidence"
Lowball poker is a triple draw poker game. Also known as A-5 lowball, it is played with 2-8 players a table.
I should mention that straight's and flush's do not count against you. Attempt to make the best low hand possible, which is A-2-3-4-5!
Before the deal two players post a small and big blind.
The dealer deals one card at a time clockwise around the table, starting at the small blind. Each player gets five cards.
A total of four betting rounds and three discard rounds take place during this game.
First betting round takes place after all players have five cards. The first player clockwise from the big blind can raise, call or fold. Each following player has the same options.
Next is the discard. Players place the amount of cards they want to discard and receive an equal amount of new cards.
Second betting round and following betting rounds start at the first person clockwise from the button.
Then a second discard round.
Followed by a third betting round.
A third discard and...
... a fourth betting round. After the last betting round remaining players turn their cards face up. The best hand wins the pot!
Where to play?
Online poker offers limits that'll fit any bankroll. There is only one reliable site that has the game and thats www.carbonpoker.com.
Poker rooms dont play the game much. Its a rare occasion if you do find one.
Another option is to start your own home game and play!
