"Community Card Poker Games: Gain Confidence To Play"

Have you ever played texas hold-em, omaha poker or pineapple poker? Then you’ve played community card poker games! More games than just three games fit in this category though.

For those that have yet to play, community card games are any poker game where players play their own hole cards (2-4 cards depending on the game) combined with the board cards which all players share while attempting to make the best five card poker hand.

In games such as omaha high low and chicago poker you want to make both a high and low hand.

Community card poker games are played in limit poker, no-limit, or pot limit poker structure. They can also be played as cash poker games or tournament poker.

Stakes range from micro limits to nose bleed.

Each game is played the same with the exception of pineapple poker, crazy pineapple, lazy pineapple poker and blind mans bluff which involve a couple extra steps.

At the start of every new hand the dealer shuffles the deck. Once the small and big blinds are put up the dealer can start dealing.

Cards are dealt one at a time starting at the small blind. Cards get dealt clockwise until all players have the correct amount of cards. From here there is a...

· Pre-flop betting round, followed by the flop (three face up community cards)

· Flop betting round, followed by the turn (a fourth card face up)

· Turn betting round, followed by the river (a fifth and final card face up)

· River betting, remaining hands are turned face up and a winner is determined

Betting rounds go clockwise around the table. Each player can bet (if no one has bet yet), raise the bet in front of them, call, or fold their cards.

Its also important that the dealer burns the top card of the deck before they deal the flop, turn and river.

Some games require extra procedures that I’ll go over on their specific pages.

Most community card games can be found at both the best online poker sites and live poker rooms. Others are only found in home poker games.

Texas holdem strategies, texas hold em poker rules, lazy pineapple strategies, blind mans bluff strategies and omaha high low strategies will help you fine tune your community card games skills.

Completely new to poker? Beginner poker advice, beginner poker strategies, stopping beginner shakes in poker, poker bankroll management and building a poker bankroll are all pages that’ll get you started on the path to poker success.

Good luck!
