"Win At Chicago Poker By Learning The Game And It's Strategies"
Chicago poker is a split pot community card game.
The high hand wins half the pot, and the lowest spade wins the other half. There is no qualifier for the low or splitting the
low, as in other split pot games.
Two to ten players play at one table.
Once small and big blinds are posted, the game begins.
The deal starts at the small blind and goes clockwise around the table. Each player gets one card at a time, until
all players have two cards.
After all player's have two cards, there is a betting round.
The first betting round starts with the player next to
the big blind. Each player has a chance to...
· fold
· call the bet
· raise the bet
Once all player's have acted, the dealer burns the top card of the deck and deals a flop.
The flop is three cards face up in the middle of the table.
Make sure you can see it!
Next there is a second betting round. When everyone has acted, the dealer burns another card and deals the turn.
The turn is put to the right of the flop.
There is a third betting round. When action is done on the turn, the dealer burns one more card and deals the river.
The river is the last community card on the table.
There is a fourth betting round. After this last betting round, remaining player's turn there cards up and a winner is determined. If someone has a spade, the pot gets divided evenly. One half goes to the high hand and the other half goes to the lowest spade.
In the event of two or more high hands: the pot is divided in half, one goes to the lowest spade and the other half is
divided evenly among the high hands.

Winning strategies for chicago poker.
The cards you play, have the biggest affect on how many chips you win.
You want to play hands that can win both high and low.
The ace of spades takes half the pot, every time. That's the card you play every time it's dealt to you. No matter what your
other card is.
The reason: you're gauranteed half the pot, PLUS! you have a great shot at making a high hand!
When you have the ace of spades, your main goal is to get as many chips in the pot as possible.
There are a couple of ways to do this.
Calling/check calling is one way. Early positions are the best place to do this. Especially if there are five player's in the pot, and the player in front of you bets. Calling will keep some player's in the pot.
The other way is by raising. It's best to do this in later positions. When an early position player bets and players in between call, raise, if the first player calls it will entice the other players to call as well, building you a bigger pot!
Use the technique that get's the most chips in the pot.
The deuce and three of spades are the lowest spades you want to play. Play them when your other card is either an ace or king,
or the two cards have a chance of making a straight.
And the only reason you want to play them is so your opponents think they can win with a four, five, maybe even a six of spades.
But you'll know that the ace of spades is the one you really want.
The deuce and three shouldn't get played as aggressively as the ace. You play them in late positions. If there is a lot of betting/raising, fold. You're sure to see the ace of spades at the showdown.
You can bet if there is a lot of checking. If you get raised, get out of the pot!
