"7 Card Stud: A Good Oldie"

7 card stud is a 2-8 player game.

More can play, but if 6 or more players stick it out to the river, there won't be enough cards.

It's easier to have a maximum of eight players at one table!

This poker game is played for high hands. You'll be trying to make full houses, flushes, straights ect.

After each player receives their first three cards, the person with the lowest up card, must bring in the bet. The bring in amount is determined by the players, prior to the start of the game

If three people have a two as their up card, the person with the lowest suit will bring it in. Clubs are the lowest, then diamonds, hearts and spades. Once the low card has brought it in, each player will act on their hands. There are a total of five rounds of betting.

After reading this page learn some strategies that'll help you out even more.

The first round of betting is on your first three cards, two of which are face down, the third is face up.

The second betting round is on your fourth up card.

Third betting round is on your fifth up card.

Fourth betting round is on your sixth up card.

The fifth betting round is after your seventh card, which is dealt face down.

It sounds overwhelming to play, after playing the game a few times, you'll have a good grasp of it!

Good luck!
